Welcome 2021

I hope everyone had a safe New Year's Eve!!

Mine was a little odd...I couldn't sleep, so I made the dumb decision to take half of a Melatonin tablet at 2 am.  Well, I didn't regain consciousness until 3:00 this afternoon!!  During my unconscious state, I was dreaming about body snatchers...I hope that doesn't have a significance for 2021...I really think it was the last brain debris from 2020.

So today marks the first day of a SAL (stitch along) that I'm doing with Modern Folk Embroidery.  He does these every year, but this is the first year I decided to join in.  It's released in 12 parts, one a month.

It's only done in two colors and I've decided to use my favorite DMC red #3777 and it's neighbor #3778 which is a pretty rose.  The fabric is called Fog...it's 28 ct. and I'll be stitching over one...which makes for small x's but I don't want this project to be huge.

Jim was cleaning out the garage this past week and he came across a box of old pictures.  I must have started a genealogy project then completely forgot about it.  I think I'll do a "Throwback Thursday" and show some of these photos.

Here's the first one...it must have been Mother's Day in '74 because Laura only looks about two  years old.  This is all the women in the family...except Susan and Kristy...and also Katie because I don't think she was born yet.

Brad...thank you for the nice comment you left.  Here's my warrior Dredmama again...she has gotten an equipment upgrade.  Come and join us...we have to save the Shadowlands!!

Have a wonderful day my darlings...and I'll see you back here in a couple of days!

Here we go again!

Well, here we go again.  I've had too much time on my hands and so I've been messing around with this here blog!  I don't know how long it will go on because, if you know me...I'm a great started and a horrible finisher.  I must say tho, Blogger seems a lot easier to use...so that's good.

So, what's been going on.

This past Christmas was pretty much par for the course for 2020.  Jim and I didn't get any decorations down, I just used the few that I keep in the house.  We did get a 4 ft. tree from Walmart and I actually really like it because it looks so prim.  I think we've decided to just use that from now on, we're getting too old to lug that big tree out of the attic along with all the boxes of decorations.

We did get to see John, Holly and Zoe on Christmas Eve...so that was nice.  Holly and Zoe had made lots of yummy Christmas cookies and brought us some.  Plus we got gifts...which they weren't suppose to do...but we do appreciate it.
